This is the official thread to post your Revenge of the Sith reactions in. It will be locked until the 19th (i'll be at the midnight showing of RotS, so I won't be able to unlock it until I get back. I might unlock it right before I leave). Basically, this thread can be anything from initial reactions to lengthy reviews. Just post here after you see the movie. ***SPOILERS WILL BE ALLOWED, SO DO NOT READ THESE POSTS IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE YET AND WISH TO REMAIN SPOILER FREE!*** I will also make a poll that you can vote in (see the Polls section).

Wow, that movie was amazing!!!! I went to the midnight showing last night / today. I thought the movie concluded the saga perfectly. All of the duels in the movie were sweet. It was so sad to see the Jedi get killed, especially when the clones turned on them. I thought Ian McDiarmid was great in this movie. I'll have to post more later as I think of it. Definitely can't wait to see it again!

I agree Yoda, the movie was phenomenal. We have finally witnessed the saga come full circle and Lucas concluded it triumphantly. ROTS was a great movie and by far the best prequel.
War! LOL. The action was non-stop and was mind-blowing. Revenge was probably the most action-packed and exciting movie of the saga in my opinion. Anakin/Obi duel....amazing!
Here's a list of a few things that I particularly enjoyed in the movie: R2-D2 the duels DV Grievious Chewbacca! palpatine and, oh yes, they finally answer why obi-wan and yoda disappear with their death and the other jedi do not!
Go see it again!

You really hit the good points there, Chewie. R2 was really funny in the beginning. Anakin and Obi-Wan's duel was spectacular! After seeing RotS (and the other prequels) Obi-Wan has become one of my favorite characters of the saga. The prequels really add to his character. Grievous using the 4 sabers was so sweet....so many other good things I can't list them all. It wasn't flawless, but I enjoyed it very much and can't wait to see it again!

I agree, Obi-Wan is one of my favorite characters now too. Ewan McGregor has done a wonderful job portraying Obi-Wan throughout the prequels.
The acting in this movie seems to have improved over the last, but there are still a few instances of either poor acting or poor dialogue. The good thing is, there aren't too many of them...in fact, there isn't even that much dialogue in the whole movie. This is my favorite of the prequels.

Ewan does an amazing job as Obi-Wan. His "you were the chosen one!" and following lines were delivered perfectly. That was definitely one of the best parts of the movie (not to mention the incredible duel preceding that!).

I saw it today and can't quit thinking about it. That movie was AWESOME!!!!! I can not get over it. After it was over MY WIFE looks at me and say, "Wow, that was cool." We talked about it all day. The only thing that I needed was more of a dialogue struggle for Anakin to turn. I know there was alot leading up to it but I just feel that there needed to more of a verbal struggle. It didn't make a difference though I am going to see it tomorrow. I almost had tears a few times: When the youngling came up and asked Anakin(Vader at the time) "What are we going to do Master?", Obi-Wan letting his heart pour out at the end of the fight with Vader, Yoda's reaction in the temple when he brings up to Obi-Wan that the yougnling was killed by a lightsaber, When the one youngling jumped out and was fighting the Clones when Bail Organa was leaving. I found out later my daughter(12) almost cried the same times and when the Jedi were turned on by there Clones.
Here's food for thought. My wife brought this to my attention. Palpatine says that Darth Plegieus was able to use the midichlorines to create life..What are the chances that Anakin was created by Plegieus and Palpatine knew it. That's how my wife understood it. Maybe I should start a new thread on that discussion.

You think that is crazy? What if Palpatine was the apprentice of Plagueis...the one that learned all of Plagueis' powers and created Anakin himself? That would mean Palpatine was just waiting for him to be discovered so he could mold him into his own apprentice. That, my friend, is crazy.

RotS was a very powerful, and emotional movie. It hasn't gotten out of my mind since seeing it at the midnight showing. Scenes like Order 66, the Younglings, and Obi-Wan's final words to Anakin were very sad. For me, this is what separates RotS from the other prequels and makes it superior.
It is difficult to say whether Plagieus (spelling?) or Palpatine actually created Anakin. That whole scene was so brilliantly done I thought, the way Palpatine manipulates Anakin. It is definitely interesting to think about, but probably something we'll never get answered. Personally, I think some of what Palpatine told Anakin was true but not all of it.

I'm going to try to go see RotS again on Wednesday (May 25th) because it is the 28th anniversary of Star Wars! Hopefully I will have time to go.

I've seen the movie three times now, but I missed the Falcon again last time. I always forget to look. I did spot an interesting Easter Egg (or so I believe). When Anakin is leading the clone army in the Jedi Temple we get a shot of the walls of the temple, scuplted into which are huge Jedi. The one on the right side of the entrance looked to me like Ralph McQuarrie's original concept drawing of Chewbacca. Anybody else catch this?
